What staff say about Rocksteady
It’s great to have the opportunity to give back all that music has given me. It gives me a sense of fulfilment and I know I am playing a role in the children’s musical journey.
I love seeing children fall in love with music just like I did when I was learning. It is incredibly rewarding when a song comes together and you see everyone enjoying themselves.
Teaching Rocksteady band lessons feels like a dream come true. I get to teach awesome cool kids awesome cool songs and watch them perform and showcase all the amazing skills they’ve learned. Sometimes it feels like jamming with my own band mates!
It makes me feel like the real life Jack Black!
I love teaching band lesson because it’s probably the most rewarding thing I have ever done. The bonds you build with the children are just brilliant and they make you smile every day.
It’s amazing to empower all of these children every week and give them a positive musical experience that they can look forward to.
The best thing I have ever done in my life is to be in a band. If I can facilitate that kind of joy for anybody else, then I’m a happy man.
I love inspiring the next generation of musicians and passing on the love for music I have!
Being a positive role model in music is what I love the most. Helping children find that they can learn and have fun with music at any age is the absolute best thing about being a band leader.
It’s fast-paced and challenging, but also extremely rewarding. To work in such a supportive environment is fantastic, and everyone shares the same goal of changing children’s lives.
No two days are the same and you never know what the children are going to come out with to make you laugh that day!
To see nine children on a stage all playing like mini rockstars, and then the audience clapping and cheering them on, is just perfect.
It’s amazing seeing the children’s lightbulb moments when something that seemed so impossible to begin with becomes possible!
Music is my passion, and having the ability to teach each it and share that passion with the next generation of musicians is just an absolute joy to have as a job!
It’s an awesome position to be in where I can teach children exactly what I wanted to learn when I was in primary school. Seeing children become more confident through the work we do at Rocksteady is amazingly rewarding.
